Hi, I'm Amo!

 

I’m from Charlton, South East London. I’ve lived and been educated here my whole life. It’s also the place where I completed my professional apprenticeship as a carpenter.

 

I always had a love for making and building things with my own hands. I found this passion for carpentry while at school, being intrigued with and enjoying design technology.  From here I went on starting my apprenticeship.

 

My strong family background of trades, varying from bricklayers to plumbers and electricians, we’re part of the inspiration and desire that took me forward to pursuing this career seriously. This also helped me get started with many different types of projects.

 

I started my company as a carpenter sole trader, working on sites across London building new homes and completing refurbishments. My experience led me on to work for insurance companies, which is where I started to venture and evolve other many trades, trying to hone my skills not only as a carpenter but as a builder too. Now, going through many experiences, I find that my knowledge is very important to me and the jobs we do in this field as I now have the capabilities to carry out nearly every job a carpenter or builder would.

 

A few years on, I now have my own business. AS Carpentry & Builders. We’ve been running successfully now for over 10 years. We’re a small effective team with great mentors and advisers to the company who have helped the business become what it is today. Focusing our specialities on small to medium-sized kitchens and bathrooms, full refurbishments, remodelling, loft conversions, extensions all the way to new builds and more!

 

All our work since we started doing building works has been word of mouth. Our clients are always amazed by the work we do and don’t think twice about referring us to their friends and family. That in itself is a bold statement of the quality of our work and service.
